Chile is on the path to becoming a member of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the government is adopting the necessary guidelines set by the organization. These guidelines are creating greater transparency and accountability of financial transactions, as well as further modernizing Chile's laws, public policies and procedures. Once accepted, Chile will have and maintain the same standards and practices of the current member nations.
