Publicado el:15 de agosto de 2007

Chile is among the 30 countries with greatest "responsible competitiveness," an indicator established by the UN to measure the level of corporate social responsibility of companies in a specific territory among 108 countries.

The list is headed by Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, the United Kingdom, Norway and New Zealand. Chile tops the list of Latin American countries (ranked 24th), followed by Costa Rica (36), Jamaica (38), Peru (45), El Salvador (49), Colombia (55), Brazil (56), Mexico (57), Panama (62), Argentina (66), Honduras (75), Venezuela (76), Nicaragua (77), Ecuador (79), Bolivia (84) and Paraguay (86.)

"Respectful businesses, cities that care for their surrounding environment, and responsible and emerging sectors and countries can win large market shares in the future, while others will lose them. This work shows the relevance of corporate social responsibility in trade promotion."
