Chile is in 15th place among the 27 most attractive emerging economies for investment, according to the Grant Thornton's 2008 International Business Report. Our country places fourth in Latin America, surpassed by Mexico (4) and Brazil (5), and behind Argentina (12), one of the most risky countries due to its unstable political climate. The ranking was led by the giants China (1), India (2) and Russia (3).

Grant Thornton's International Business Report is a global survey of the opinions of 7,800 businesspersons from medium and large private sector businesses. The study evaluated the investment opportunities in emerging economies for the first time in 2008, considering factors such as GDP, population and trade value.
